Abdominal Ultrasound:  As a non-invasive technology to screen the abdomen for abnormalities of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, intestine, pancreas, bladder, stomach, and lymph nodes for internal diseases.  Also useful for confirming and monitoring pregnancy.

Chemotherapy:
  Complete cancer staging capabilities including cytology, biopsy, abdominal ultrasound, chest radiographs, and comprehensive chemotherapy programs based on the most current and effective national protocols for lymphoma, mast cell tumors, and other chemotherapy responsive cancers.  Discussed with owners individually to tailor to specific needs of patient, financial requirements, and current medical issues.  Used as solo medical therapy or secondary to surgical resection of a primary cancer site.

Cranial Cruciate Rupture Repair:  The latest in extracapsular surgical technique using a new double bone anchor technique combined with the nylon suture Securos crimp method to stabilize the knee with minimal soft tissue trauma.  Usually combined with an arthrotomy to evaluate the integrity of the meniscus for concurrent tears that require correcting.Nicole Crosen, L.V.T, holding a chameleon for an exam. (Present in up to 10% of cruciate rupture patients.)

Echocardiogram:  Ultrasonic evaluation of the heart to investigate murmurs, arrhythmia, and congestive heart disease to aid in therapy as well as diagnosis of congenital conditions.  Also for evaluation of chronic cough, collapse, and exercise intolerance to differentiate between cardiac and respiratory disease.

Endoscopy:  A flexible camera to evaluate the upper gastrointestinal tract under anesthesia for retrieval of stomach foreign bodies and to collect stomach and small intestinal biopsies to aid in treatment of chronic vomiting and diarrhea.

Exotics:  General exams, vaccines ,client education on husbandry, as well as medical and surgical care for ferrets, rabbits, small pocket pets (i.e. guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, gerbils, hedgehogs, etc.), reptiles (nonvenomous), and avian patients.  Comprehensive bloodwork, radiographs and ultrasound for exotics as well as adrenal disease hormone panels for ferrets.  Surgical treatment for ferret adrenal disease and insulinomas.  Ovariohysterectomy (spay) and castration services for rabbits.


PennHIP and OFA Certification:  PennHIP is a screening and certification program with superior detection for canine hip dysplasia as early as 4 months compared to OFA standards which are more broadly recognized but require a minimum certification age of 2 years.  Both require anesthesia/sedation to obtain required radiographic specification.

Reproductive Services:  Pre-breeding screening including Brucella testing, vaginal cytology and progesterone levels for timing of breeding, artificial insemination, pregnancy confirmation and monitoring with ultrasound and abdominal radiographs, as well as caesarean surgery and neonatal care.
