To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the lobby area or exam rooms. If you do not have a leash, one will be provided for you. All cats, exotics, and pocket pets must be presented in an appropriate carrier or on a leash.
Missed Appointment Policy
We ask that you please call at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep an appointment. The doctor’s time has been reserved especially for you, and other clients who want that appointment slot for their pets are told it is unavailable. After hours you can leave a message on our voicemail if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is a $25.00 charge for missed appointments.
Prescription Refill Policy
Please call to request medication refills at least one day in advance. This gives the doctor time to authorize the refill and have it prepared and waiting for you to pick up. After hours you may leave prescription refill requests with our answering service. You can also sign up for a free Pet Portal and request refills of medication and food via email. Call for more information.
For your convenience, “drop-off” appointments are available. A “drop-off” means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop-off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor has completed your pet’s examination, he or she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis, treatment, and to give you instructions. There is a small daycare charge for drop-off appointments.
For the safety of all pets in our care and the staff members who handle them, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, some pets may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other animals. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the lobby.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and personal checks.
